Another blog you've been waiting for: Ben's first Christmas in Cali

This past Christmas, Ben went back home with me. And in doing so, he got to experience California for the first time.
I won't talk too much about Christmas, since the majority of people who read this post were at Christmas. So instead, I'll fill you in on our California adventures after. We covered Sonoma County to Monterey and many amazing cities in between. And Ben met A LOT of amazing people.
We went from Sacramento to Sausalito to meet up with some Bay Area-based friends. Then we went up to Sonoma County for more friends. And along the way, we hit some awesome breweries.
Russian River Brewery
Lagunitas Brewery
Ben's first taco truck experience. A California staple. The trip continued on to San Fransisco.
We even went to a few viewpoints that I'd never been to!
Ghirardelli Square

Fisherman's Wharf
Views of Alcatraz

Pier 39
Sea lions!

Mulholland Drive
The Painted Ladies
Riding the rail car down California! It was so steep that I was afraid to let go of the railing haha
We made it safely to the bottom

After our Sonoma/SF adventure, we headed to Sausalito again before moving south.
And then headed along Highway 1 South to Santa Cruz
The first place in Santa Cruz, we went to Natural Bridges. (posting this picture just made me super nostalgic.)
We then went to UCSC to look at some of the amazing views.
And then headed along to 99 Bottles to find my name on the wall of 99ers!
We ate some absolutely amazing food while in Santa Cruz.
You're welcome, Ben.
Then we set off for our final leg, to Monterey.
Otters and seals and sea lions and...
17 Mile Drive. Lead us all the way to Pebble Beach and out the other end into Carmel.
As the sunset on New Years Eve, a family of dolphins swam across the bay.
Before taking Ben to the airport, we stopped off at Lover's Point.
